Financial operations are regulated by laws and ordinances. Finansinspektionen in its regulatory code (FFFS) publishes complementary rules in the form of regulations that are binding and general guidelines. We work in compliance with:

  • EU rules and regulations
  • International rules and regulations

Supervisory disclosure

Finansinspektionen provides an overview of the regulatory rules adopted in Sweden with regard to the implementation of Basel 2. The purpose is to allow meaningful comparison with supervisory rules and practices across Europe.  Read more

FACTS AND FIGURES

From the 1 January 2011 there are three supervisory authorities in the EU for the financial sector:

  • European Banking Authority, EBA
  • European Insurance and Occupational Pension Authority, EIOPA
  • European Securities and Markets Authority, ESMA


These authorities replace the earlier committées CEBS, CEIOPS och CESR.
