Finansinspektionen has sent out information to all licensed firms, or firms registered with FI, about restrictions against Iran.
In brief, FI informs the firms:
- that a new regulation regarding restrictive measures against Iran, (EU) No. 961/2010, was decided by the EU on 25 October 2010,
- that a previous regulation on sanctions against Iran, (EC) No. 423/2007, was concurrently repealed,
- about obligations to freeze assets and economic resources belonging to certain persons, units and bodies,
- about restrictions on financial transactions to and from Iran,
- about restrictions on financing of certain firms (e.g. insurance undertakings).
