The reporting on the insurance sector will be expanded with an insurance barometer as a part of FI's efforts to develop its communication with both the public and companies. The traffic-light model – the stress test of the insurance companies – will be included in the new barometer from now on. The insurance companies will continue their reporting as usual.
The insurance barometer will deal with the insurance companies' market conditions as well as their return, consolidation and solvency. The information will be published twice per year although no date is scheduled yet for 2009. The information on the insurance companies will also be included in FI's annual Financial Stability Report.
