The regulations specify the EUR rate for the insurance sector. The regulations are used to calculate amounts specified in EUR in regulations that apply to the area of insurance. The regulations refer to the EUR rate on the last day of October that are published every year in the Official Journal of the European Union.
For information regarding EUR rates – refer to the Swedish website for FFFS 2015:22 where any updates in the applicable rates are published (rates are updated annually at the end of October, and become effective for calculations made on and after 31 December of the same year).
The regulations have been amended to be applicable even when applying the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act and the regulations FI issues pursuant to the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Ordinance.
The Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act contains a number of provisions where amounts are specified in EUR. Finansinspektionen thus prescribes how an amount in the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Act that is specified in EUR should be converted to SEK.
The rules enter into force on 1 January 2020. Amendment 2019:27
