Investor alert: Vaska Ventures

It has come to the attention of Finansinspektionen (FI), the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, that persons claiming to represent Vaska Ventures are offering investors to buy their shares. This appears to be an advance fee fraud as the investor is asked to pay a fee upfront. Vaska Ventures also refers to the fake regulator Office for Financial Inspection to increase its credibility.

FI has investigated the matter and has not been able to determine that Vaska Ventures is a real company. Vaska Ventures is neither authorised by FI to conduct securities business or other financial services in Sweden nor under FI's supervision. FI has not received any notification of cross-border activities from other EEA countries.

FI warns investors and others about doing business with firms that are not authorised to offer financial services. The warnings are compiled in FI's Warning List. A list of all the companies authorised to offer financial services in Sweden can be found in FI's Company Register.
