Crisis preparedness

FI’s crisis preparedness activities have shown that the cooperation between involved authorities and representatives for the financial sector leads to improved capacity for managing a crisis and greater crisis preparedness.

In 2005, FI helped start a collaboration, Financial Sektorns Private-Offentliga Samverkan (Financial Sector's Private-Public Collaboration), which aimed to create better crisis preparedness and enhance the robustness of the financial sector.

This collaboration includes – in addition to FI – the Swedish Bankers’ Association, Bankgirocentralen BGC, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Euroclear Sweden, the Swedish Securities Dealers Association, Insurance Sweden, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, Nasdaq/OMX, the Riksbank, the Swedish National Debt Office, and the Swedish Savings Banks Association.
