Don’t be fooled again

Have you been the victim of investment fraud? Then there is a risk that you will be targeted again. You might be contacted with new investment offers, or you might receive a fake offer to help recover previous losses. Sometimes these offers come right after the first fraud, but other times they come several years later.

The person calling might say they work at a government authority or a bank and have information about a previous fraud. Your telephone might even display the number of a government authority, for example a switchboard number.

You will then be asked to pay a fee for the offered help. Often, you will be forced to make an immediate decision.

They might also ask for your log-in information or try to get you to log into your bank.
