Finansinspektionen has reviewed 51 companies that did not report that they are a part of an insurance group. The result was that 47 of these companies were a part of an insurance group and should thereby have reported to FI. These companies have been informed that they are supposed to report for the year 2007.
If an insurance company is a part of an insurance group, its capital adequacy can be affected by other companies in the group. Therefore, it is important that the insurance group reports this to FI.
The companies that have not reported have been informed that they should report for the year 2007 in accordance with the requirements for an insurance group.
