Banking

The Banking section is responsible for:

  • supervision of banks, credit companies and debt collection companies
  • supervision of credit-related consumer protection matters
  • matters related to authorisation and model reviews
  • regulations and sanction assessments
  • development of regulations in the banking sector, both national and international
  • matters related to capital and accounting
  • analysis, e.g. liquidity risk, market risk, credit risk and operational risks
  • analys of the financial system's vulnerabilities and resilience to different types of disruptions and, together with the supervision sections, proposing measures to strengthen financial stability
  • analys of the macroeconomic risks associated with indebtedness in the non-financial sector and proposing targeted measures to reduce these risks
  • coordinating FI's work in international working groups
  • Mortgage Report and Stability Report.
